hello and welcome

I am beyond excited to have a brand new blog! I vow to post here more often (a never ending goal of mine) and plan on announcing specials (yes I will be offering some exciting specials so stay tuned) and of course sneak peeks from recent sessions and the stories behind them. Thank you to my friends at Luxecetera once again for yet another amazing product!! They did my logo and my entire new brand. I literally would be lost without them. Stay tuned, and be sure to check back often. And don't be afraid to post comments, I love to see who is checking in!

Sisters | Tampa Bay Baby Photographer

I photographed this little one’s sister when she was newborn. I literally feel like it was only months ago. And even though she wasn’t so sure about getting her picture with her sister, she did give us one really sweet shot. They were both so good for me and I have never known anyone love books the way she does. Maybe she will grow up to be a World Famous author one day :)

Going Pro | Tampa Newborn Photographer

I have to admit that when a parent really wants to get a particular shot at a newborn session it makes me a little nervous. Reason being, babies sense it. They feel the tension, the desire, they know that dad is literally saying a prayer ‘Please God let him stay asleep while we balance him on the football”. Well I have to admit that this is probably the first time that particular prayer came into play at one of my newborn sessions but hey, I am up for anything. Dad got his wish. Can you believe how tiny he looks propped up on that ball? What an amazing family.

Mama Mia | Tampa Maternity Photographer

I was so excited to have the oppurtunity to photograph this amazingly beautiful mama and her hubby in the studio. She owns Aquali Salon and Spa in Valrico. If you haven’t checked it out you must, it is fabulous! My entire family goes there, well with the exception of Brody because I refuse to cut his baby hair :) I can’t wait to meet their new baby!!

Through the years | South Tampa Photography

One of my favorite things about my job is watching families grow. It is an honor when someone chooses me to capture their memories and it is an even bigger honor when they come back again and again. I love this family, I really do. I know, I know I say that about everyone I photograph and it is true. We decided to shoot their session at their new house on David Island. What an amazing house, and the light well it was just perfect. We had a great time as usual and even got the pets in on the action. I can’t wait to see you all again!!

Look at those eyes | Studio Photography

Can you believe those eyes? He was so happy and so good for me and I just love that one patch of hair on top of his head. Shooting in the studio is such a dream, the light is divine.

Brand New | Brandon Newborn Photographer

This little man is the first baby I photographed in the studio. He was a little older than I normally get them so it took him quite a while to fall alseep but it was well worth the wait.  Once he fell alseep he let me get to my work and was the perfect model.

I really never get tired of photographing newborns; it such an honor to be able to document their first days, especially when sleep deprivation can very well make us forget those tiny little details, the details that only last for a week or two but are so very sweet.

A quick trip | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

I had the honor of Photographing this little guy when he was five days old and it never ceases to amaze me how fast these little people grow. His mom and dad flew me up to Atlanta for his photo shoot and it was SO cold (especially for my thin Florida blood) and SO dark and rainy.  Armed with my fabulously trusty Nikon D700 which can handle low light like nothing I have ever seen I headed out in my rental car, through Atlanta traffic to see what awaited me. As soon as I walked in I got smiles from ear to ear (from mom and dad too since they are so so nice and made me feel right at home immediately). We got about 15 minutes into our shoot and then he got sleepy. Very sleepy. Uh oh. I knew one thing. I did not come all this way to get 15 minutes with him. So, we all headed up to his nursery and chatted quietly while he took a very nice power nap and when he awoke, he shined!!! Four outfits (almost unheard of at this age) later it was time for me to head back home. What an amazing gift. He not only cooperated but gave me more smiles than I think I have ever been able to capture from one baby. I am looking so forward to watching him grow and we already have plans to meet again when he turns one. What an honor it is to capture these small moments in his little life.

Some exciting changes! | Tampa Photographer

The past few weeks have been super crazy, hectic, fun, crazy, busy, did I mention crazy?? I have been working with the Petite Elite Baby boutiqe for a couple of years now. They have been gracious enough to let me hang my work up in their amazing store and they have sent more families my way than I can count. We have been talking about the possibilty of them giving up a corner of their store to me for a studio for some time and three weeks we just decided to go for it! So, I have officially opened a studio!!!! This has been a dream of mine, to have a space to work in, meet clients and shoot mini sessions. I will still be shooting the majority of my sessions on location but I will be changing the way I am going about things just a tad. For instance, ordering sessions. You will still get an online slideshow to view after your session to share with friends and family, that will not change. Once you have had a chance to look over your gallery, we will meet in the studio for a personalized ordering session where you will be able to view your prints in person as well as get your hands on all of the products I offer. Trust me, you are going to LOVE IT!!! Since the light is amazing in the studio I will be shooting mini sessions there as well. Mini sessions will last 15 to 20 minutes, just enough time to capture 10 to 15 images of your little person/person’s. I will be announcing more details soon! I promise to be back with pictures of the just as soon as the last few details are finished. And it is only fitting that I share some pictures from my first official client to have an ordering session in the new studio. She came to me when their little boy was just a baby so it was so much fun to meet his new sister!! What a great family!!
