I am blessed to be doing what I love. It is no secret that I love photographing newborn babies, but it is not  just about the baby. It’s about the love and excitement and often times fear that is in the air in those early days after they come home. I will never forget the first week I brought each of my children home, it is literally etched into my heart forever. I feel so very honored to document that time in each of my clients lives. This little guys mom and dad are SO in love with him, it was fun watching them ooh and ahh over him. There is no doubt that he is their entire world. Thank you both for trusting me with your newest treasure, I look forward to watching him grow!

I photographed this little one’s sister when she was newborn. I literally feel like it was only months ago. And even though she wasn’t so sure about getting her picture with her sister, she did give us one really sweet shot. They were both so good for me and I have never known anyone love books the way she does. Maybe she will grow up to be a World Famous author one day

My poor blog, you have been so neglected. It’s not that I meant to neglect the blog, in fact blogging is one of my favorite things to do but things have been a little crazy around here. But I am back and will be posting some VERY exciting news in the next couple of weeks so keep be sure to check back.

It’s no secret that I LOVE newborn babies. I have for as long as I can remember. There is really nothing better than a fresh new subject but it’s not just the babies. It’s the energy surrounding them. Mom’s and Dad’s glowing with excitement, Grandma’s and Grandpa’s watching their babies having babies. It just never gets old. When I walked in on this day to photograph this baby I just knew it was going to be a good day, I had a feeling. And it was. She was so good to me, and even though she peed in my lap, I loved her none the less I don’t get to photograph baby girls often enough (I still don’t know why) so it is a rare treat. Couldn’t you just eat her up?

I just did this session today and I cannot wait another second to post about it. I photographed thier first baby two years ago when he was three weeks old so when she called me this week and asked me if I could squeeze her in for pictures of their new baby the answer was of course YES, YES, YES!! They took a long hard road to get to where they are and they could not be more in love with these two boys. Without a doubt their cup runneth over.

These beautiful girls were born six weeks early, and were the tiniest little peanuts. They were almost six weeks old when we photographed them. They were all troopers, including mom and dad who were over the moon for their girls. I invited my dear friend Stacey Woods and her just as dear sister Amy Parsons along for the adventure, thanks girls for the extra set of hands!!

This little guy was adopted by the most amazing mommy and daddy. I had the privilege of photographing him before he was even a week old. Since his mom and dad live in another state, I met them at their hotel for their shoot. He was so good for me, and he honestly stole my heart. They all did.
