Frequently asked questions
Where should our session take place?
Stacy can suggest a location that works best for you and your family. Take a moment to look over the galleries and blog to get an idea of where you would like to see your family photographed and keep in mind that Stacy is always up for new fun locations! If you have suggestions let her know! Newborn sessions are typically done in her natural light studio where the light is gorgeous with a comfortable home like environment.
How long will our session last?
Newborn sessions typically last three hours to allow for plenty of time for feedings and lots of love and comforting. All other sessions typically last between one to two hours however Stacy never rushes and leaves lots of time for snacks, breaks and outfit changes.
What does the session fee cover?
The session fee covers the sessions itself which takes anywhere from one to three hours depending on the type of session. Stacy never rushes her time with you and only schedules one session per day so that she can devote her undivided attention to you and your family. The session fee also includes a personalized ordering session in her studio and an online gallery to share with friends and family.
What if it rains?
We are fortunate to live in Florida where the sun shines almost every day, however if you do encounter a rainy day (especially those pesky summer storms) Stacy is always happy to reschedule. She has done some really fun sessions in the rain though!
What should we wear?
Have fun with this part! The best option is to coordinate without being too “matchy”. Textures and prints are always fun and layers work well in photographs. When you lay your outfits out together nothing should stand out. Feel free to bring outfit changes but keep in mind that you might want to stick to no more than two outfits as young kiddos especially don’t love stopping to get changed. Maternity clients should stick to form fitting outfits or tops that can be pulled above the belly. Color and accesories such as necklaces and ear rings can add a fun feel to your photographs. If you need help with wardrobe Stacy will be more than happy to help you out.

What is the best age to have my child photographed?
Stacy prefers to photograph newborn babies within the first seven days of life. The next best age would be three months and seven months when your baby is sitting up with confidence but not yet crawling. One year is also a great age to photograph your baby as they are entering their toddler stage. After one year any time is wonderful!
